In the vibrant summer of 2019, Conor and Aquinatta’s paths crossed in a way that felt like fate. They met through a dating app, and a bowling date was set. Conor arrived at the alley early, picking out the perfect lane and lacing up his shoes. Aquinatta, however, was nowhere to be seen. An hour ticked by, and though most might have left, Conor stayed, sipping a drink and rolling a few practice frames, something about her keeping him tethered to the spot. When Aquinatta finally burst through the doors, flustered but radiant, her infectious laugh and quick apology melted any hint of frustration. She’d gotten lost, she explained, her sense of direction as wild as her spirit. They bowled, they bantered, and the hours slipped away like minutes. Sparks flew over gutter balls and strikes, and by the end of the night, they were already planning their next date. 2019 became a whirlwind of adventures—coffee shop debates, late-night movie marathons, and walks through the city, each moment knitting them closer. Then came 2020, and the world slowed with lockdown. Aquinatta, ever bold, suggested she stay with Conor “just for a bit.” That bit stretched into forever. Their days filled with homemade dinners, binge-watching shows, and laughing over Ringo the dog’s goofy antics as he chased Vince the cat through their cozy, chaotic home. When lockdown eased, Aquinatta’s daughter, Lily, joined them, her bright energy completing their little family. Conor embraced Lily like his own, and the three of them, plus Ringo and Vince, built a life full of warmth and mischief. By 2022, Conor knew he wanted Aquinatta by his side for good. He planned the perfect moment at her favorite place in the world: Victoria Falls in Zambia. As the Zambezi River roared and mist rose from the cascading water, Conor dropped to one knee, his heart racing as fast as the falls. Aquinatta’s eyes widened, then softened, and before he could finish his carefully rehearsed speech, she blurted, “Yes!” They laughed, cried, and held each other as the falls thundered their approval. Now, with Ringo bounding around and Vince lazily watching from a windowsill, Conor, Aquinatta, and Lily are planning a future as vibrant and unstoppable as the falls where their forever began.
